About Us

Cathy Ann Venezia

Cathy Ann Venezia has been a behavioral therapist for 25 years specializing in children with varying spectrum disorders and other special abilities.

Cathy holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Manhattanville College and a Master's degree in Education with a concentration in Developmental Disabilities from The College of New Rochelle.

She has worked directly with children starting at 18 months through 17 years of age. Cathy’s specialty is integrating the whole child, from school to home and throughout their community. Training parents and caregivers has been an intricate part of her career.

In 2004, Cathy founded Little Spirits, which was the first therapeutic learning and play center in New York City that brought all children under one roof to learn from each other. In 2005, Little Spirits was named best therapeutic play space by Time Out New York.

Cathy has relocated to the Silicon Valley area and continues her work as a private behavior therapist for children and their families.

Renee M. DuMond

Renee M. DuMond is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor who is passionate about working with children. She has been working with both typical children and those diagnosed with autism and developmental disabilities for more than eleven years.

Renee has her Master's in Mental Health Counseling, and a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development with a concentration in Expressive Arts Therapy. She specializes in working with children who struggle with developmental disabilities in combination with mental health challenges.

Utilizing a humanistic perspective to therapy and family education, Renee incorporates behavioral modification techniques to elicit positive behavioral changes in children, as well as the family unit as a whole. Her unique ability to take a team approach to treatments has been instrumental to the success of the child’s goals.

In 2015 Renee partnered with Cathy A. Venezia to bring the former New York based Little Spirits to the Bay Area. Our mission is to foster each child's developmental progress in all realms and to accommodate every child no matter where he or she is developmentally.
